Chupacabra Offroad back in the desert out here at Superstition OHV in the Imperial Valley, CA testing out the Baja Designs light setups that we used on the ChupTurboTwins. We wanted to get out and do some light testing and check out the differences in the light setups that we used some similarities and differences to see what we thought was the best lighting pattern.
Another year in Glamis for the kick off of dune season. This marked my 7th year in a row of attending this event, and I don’t think the crowds have ever been this big. The drags extended to the trash cans behind Pad 1, and the hill was packed. This year, Polaris RZR brought out the Nitro Circus, which was really cool, we LOVE Travis Pastrana, and what the Nitro Circus has turned into.
These stylish #1 selling mirrors are a great value, that will look great on a custom RZR or Can Am, and work great for utility models. The convex mirror provides a great range of sight behind you, and the extreme amount of adjustability if you mount the mirrors up high, or down low.
After picking up the RZR 4 Turbo S, I joined a group of 12 other SxS’s on a 3 day, 300 mile trip through Northern Arizona, for Labor Day weekend. If you are interested in why I purchased a RZR over an X3.
Another OEM has thrown their hat into the Sport SxS ring, Kawasaki’s new Teryx TRX 1000 is real, and on paper, it looks to be an impressive machine. Chupacabra Offroad goes over the key highlights and compares it to the other SxS offerings. Is it worth your $20,500?
It’s time to race this thing already! From the chassis builder taking forever, to this becoming a side project due to the sales growth of our product line, it’s taken way too long to get to the fun part: tuning the RZR and getting ready for our first race in October.
The Sand Show is this weekend in Costa Mesa, California. This is definitely the biggest “trade show” event in our industry, which means great deals. This is the weekend to buy, if you are looking for a new SxS, parts, and accessories.
Chupacabra Offroad headed back to the longest race in the United States, 505 miles this year to be exact. Unfortunately, our team ended up not seeing the finish line.
Thanks to winning a RZR at Tierra Del Sol, we won a RZR 2 seater Velocity, but sold it so we had budget to purchase a new Polaris Turbo S 4 Dynamix, 2 to be exact (our other Chupacabra Andrew Garvey also purchased a Turbo S 4 Dynamix).
I’ll admit, I started off with very few tools and essentials. Over the years, venturing out on longer trips, making friends and seeing what experienced guys had, motivated me to step my game up, and come up with a setup that’s good enough for Baja or AZ Peace Trail journeys.
Polaris announced its 2020 RZR lineup, and the big news was the all-new, Pro XP. With Can Am’s 2020 release, there are more models than ever, for offroader’s looking to buy a 2 seat SxS.
