In Part 2 of our 2022 RZR release series, the sleeping giant of Polaris has awakened! Not much to report in part 1, but part 2 has been an impressive release, to say the least. We went through all the great technical videos, before making this, to give you guys the most important info and how it relates to the competition.

We had a lot of great footage of race cars from last year’s UTV world championship race. And since there hasn’t been much racing, and we love watching the SxS’s of all types in motion, we wanted to show you some clips of our race car, and what we’ve learned, and we have footage of our race car when the spring rate was too soft and the valving was off.

Former Polaris Employee buys a Speed! Yup, you heard that right. I’m selling one Polaris (maybe both) and jumping on board the Speed bandwagon while there is still space. I put down the $1,500 at Coyne Powersports, and I’m really getting excited. I sort of talked myself into it, over these past few months. 

This RZR was running as good as it ever ran until it wasn’t. Unfortunately, we are going to have to go with a new motor and start over. There is no finger-pointing guys, in all honesty, many things have happened to cause this. And I think this is pretty uncommon in RZR motors, lots of racers run 2500-3500 race miles in them no problem.

A good way to figure out how to go faster is to reach out to other racers, learn, watch, and ride along. As we’ve been making improvements to the race car, we can push harder, and once we figure out tuning and clutching, we will be at a whole new level of speed. The shock tuning has given us a ton of confidence! We met up at Geiser Loop to see how it felt, in a spot we know well.

This is no clickbait, a life long RZR owner joined the darkside. Our very own Andrew was itching to see what he’s been missing, so we took advantage of the amazing deals this time of year and went down to Coyne Powersports and picked up a new CanAm X3. This Maverick will look nothing like this in a few months, and have a little more Hp.

It’s been a long time since we’ve updated you guys on the race RZR… Lots has been happening behind the scenes. This downtime is tough, but we are using it to get more prepared once racing resumes. After 2 races, we learned we needed to make some changes, to be as competitive as possible.

We ended up 4/9 in the unlimited UTV class, and 5/31 overall. We are stoked to get another finish, and we’ve made some improvements since the first race. The biggest improvement, was suspension tuning with Wayne Israelson of All Tech Motorsports, he really helped us balance the RZR out, and we tested in Plaster a few weeks before this, so we knew we could push in the bumps.

From stock SxS’s, Live Valve, to full race cars, Wayne Isrealson can do it all. I met Wayne back in 2016 when I got to test with him in Barstow, and when it came time to have our #ChupTurboTwins​ setup, he was the first person I thought of. I remember being amazed at what he could feel my RZR was doing.

Our first race was a whirlwind weekend, and now that the dust has settled, we learned of the weak points that need to be addressed, hard testing that needs to be done, and figured out which races make the most sense to shoot for in 2020.

You’ve seen the race RZR, you might have caught the build videos, which started as a bare frame chassis, and it’s been running for almost a year. It’s about time we finally raced it! Rage at the River ended up being a great first race- 2 days of racing, only 50 miles each day, so it was easy for pit crews, no gas stops needed, and a fun course in Laughlin, Nevada.
