STARLINK MINI REVIEW AND SETUP | CHUPACABRAOFFROAD

The Star-link Mini has been an awesome addition to my RZR Pro R! The many benefits from staying connected for work, keeping the kids entertained on road trips, and being able to be safe and be connected in case of an emergency make the Star-link Mini a must!

(0:07) Hey everybody, we've been using the Starlink Mini for a little while so
(0:11) wanted to go ahead and kind of give you some thoughts on if you're considering
(0:14) using this, if you already have a Starlink for camping, how we mounted it,
(0:18) how we use it and I know there's a lot of different applications for this so
(0:22) we'll just make a little quick video of what I've experienced so far, how we like
(0:26) to use it and maybe it'll help you decide if you do want to add a mini
(0:29) Starlink for all of your off-roading adventures. So let's get into it.

(0:34) Starting off, I purchased the Starlink Mini. Actually, to go back a little bit
(0:38) in the story, we have used the bigger Starlink, the older version and we
(0:41) were mainly using that for trade shows. Chupacabra Offroad, we sell products at
(0:46) various events throughout the year. It's nice to have the internet, particularly
(0:49) if we're posting content in certain areas where internet's hard to come by
(0:52) like Glamis, Baja, those type of things. But using the Starlink enabled us to use
(0:57) that for internet at other events like Camp Razer, Sand Sport Super Show
(1:02) where we need that internet connection to sell you guys products when you stop
(1:05) by our booth. So beyond that for business use for camping, it's always nice to
(1:10) have sending out content but the old Starlink was a bit heavy, big and
(1:15) cumbersome for using on the trail. So thanks to Starlink for developing this
(1:19) new mini setup which from what I've been told also delivers the same speeds of
(1:24) internet in a smaller package even if you're going down the highway 80 mph.
(1:28) The mini just seems like it's made for people like us that are outdoor
(1:32) adventurers. So decided to go ahead and upgrade to this mini setup and we
(1:37) bought the whole setup from PCI and it comes with this mount and the mount,
(1:42) what I like about it after talking to the guys at PCI are the magnets we'll
(1:46) discuss and I'll show you how they mount up in a second but this also comes with
(1:50) the battery pack. So what you're seeing now is the battery pack removed
(1:56) and that's where I'll run it on my Razor here behind as we'll show you in just a
(2:00) minute but what's cool about the battery pack is that you can go ahead and use
(2:03) additional magnet mounts and mount it onto your truck and then this delivers
(2:07) about 5 hours of usage. This is a 156Wh pack that you get included in
(2:13) the kit from PCI.
...
(9:58) Let me know if you guys have purchased one of these, if you're thinking about if
(10:01) it's helpful, if there's any other mounts that you've seen that allow you to take
(10:06) it all over the place like I take it or maybe some other use cases that you guys
(10:09) might be thinking about as it leads to your mounts. I know PCI has a variety of
(10:13) mounts. One of the guys there Fish has an Expedition and there's a mount under
(10:18) the hood of it on the front which is super clean so a lot of you guys have
(10:22) different use cases, different vehicles, you want your Starlink, you want to be
(10:25) connected anywhere you go so let me know if you guys like this video. If you
(10:28) do, please like and subscribe and we got a whole lot more coming your way.
