MOTO TIME - 2024 YZ250F @ ACP | CHUPACABRA OFFROAD

I had to hop on the two wheeler after the rain, and I wanted to chat about my current bike of choice. I didn't get that much ride footage, as I goofed on the GoPro setting, but I'll be riding more and posting it in another video soon...

Transcript:

🔹 Part 1: Background & First Impressions

(0:00–1:22)
Nick Olson introduces the video at ECP motocross track in Phoenix. He talks about his riding history—transitioning from motocross in California to off-roading and dual-sport rides in Arizona. He introduces his new 2024 Yamaha YZ250F, praises Yamaha suspension, and says it’s a great vet-rider bike.

🔹 Part 2: Power & Performance Mods

(1:22–4:06)

  • Switched from 49T to 50T rear sprocket → better 2nd–3rd gear range

  • Slip-on Yoshimura exhaust for better power and sound (stock was too loud and unpleasant)

  • Uses Yamaha Power Tuner app → custom maps like “Hard Hitting” or “KK Aggressive”

  • Planning more performance with Twisted Development ECU + airbox mod (~$1500)

  • Also added a Cycra airbox cover with pre-drilled holes for airflow

🔹 Part 3: Ergonomics for Tall Riders

(6:32–9:36)

  • Nick is 6’3” and discusses best setup for tall riders:

    • Lowered footpegs (Works Connection Titanium, down 4mm)

    • Renthal 930 bars (not overly tall but flexy and vibration-absorbing)

    • Stock seat height

  • Added Steg Pegz (rubber bumpers on side panels) to reduce arm pump, keep posture upright

  • Says these mods help him stay in control and avoid fatigue during long rides

🔹 Part 4: Suspension & Setup Adjustments

(9:36–13:04)

  • Revalved suspension locally, with DLC coating on fork tubes

  • Went up 1–2 spring rates front and rear → better for his weight (205 lbs)

  • Adjusted compression and rebound to balance feel between vet and pro tracks

  • Wants setup that works for motocross + off-road (GP-style)

  • Says it’s more stable, better in corners, and doesn’t buck or bottom out easily

🔹 Part 5: Final Thoughts & Outro

(13:04–14:07)

  • Plans to ride more motos that day and participate in a Buckeye GP race

  • Reflects on passion for moto and how he’ll keep doing it as long as he can

  • Encourages viewers to comment if they like this moto content

🎵 Post-Roll & Music

(14:29–end)
Just background music and some clips from the track. No further speech or dialogue.
