After getting skunked last Sumer with basically no monsoon Summer rains, I was bummed. It makes getting through the long, nasty hot Arizona Summers so much easier. Luckily, this year, we’ve been getting rain. Even luckier, I live really close to some really fun terrain and turn tracks, that I use to train and keep in shape. These tracks are blown out most of the year, but not this weekend! After 3 days of good storms, the conditions were as good (maybe better) than they are after February rain. I jumped on the Husky 350 for 3 days in a row and started to regain some form. The dirt was amazingly good, so much traction! This is my favorite part of Summer, when we get rain, I make time to go moto, take a break from the grind, and get back on the bike. I raced for a while and try to stay in shape - just in case I get the itch to go race again!

Like all desert rats, when it rains, we ride.
