Transcription: (0:01) Hey everybody, I'm here with Tristan, lead industrial designer at CF Moto, at the 2024 dealer show talking about the new Z10 and its motor. Tristan, tell us a little about this power plant. (0:14) Tristan: This is brand new for our Z10 product. Everything from the engine, transmission, clutches, and differentials is completely new for the Z10. This is a 1000cc triple-cylinder turbocharged engine, designed to isolate heat and enhance occupant comfort. (0:43) We have a 900-watt stator and an in-built spot for an alternator kit, ready for future enhancements. The transmission is a new CVT setup with a six-spider design and four cooling ducts, producing 143 horsepower without a charge air cooler, offering smooth low-end torque. (1:37) The Z10 comes in two options: two-seater and four-seater, with specific design elements like all rear cooling. The four-seater has unique doors for improved body line continuity, and the cage features fully welded, gusseted joints, ensuring strength and a clean look. (3:47) A key design focus was balancing wheelbase for a dynamic feel—129 inches for the four-seater for playfulness without sacrificing space. Even details like “boat-rockered” sides for smoother transitions over logs reflect practical thinking. (6:17) Front-hinged doors offer better rider comfort and convenience. The cooling system is rear-mounted to maintain a cool cockpit and excellent approach angles. Dual 12-inch radiator fans help expel heat, although this setup reduces rear storage space. (10:02) The rear suspension features dual-shear construction with a tow-link rod for better control and reliability. The Fox 2.5-inch live valve shocks with three adjustable modes contribute to enhanced handling and performance. (11:17) High-clearance stamped upper and lower arms, a 5-on-4.5 lug pattern, and automotive-style bolt-in wheel bearings showcase attention to durability and ease of use.
